“Take us on a journey from a place where we know nothing to a place where we know it all; from a place where we have nothing to a place where we have it all.”
- Apostle Charles Hackman (A New Day, A New Sacrifice)
Oftentimes, there is a tendency to believe in our own wisdom; in the wealth of our experiences and in the “lessons” we have learned on our journey through the vicissitudes of life. We rely on our strength and perceived abilities in order to succeed. We, in fact, assume that we have things figured out and, hence, are fully equipped for the task ahead. Sooner than later, we are rudely awakened from the slumber of this grand deception only to discover that indeed, without Him, we are nothing. If our hearts are hardened enough, we will try harder and harder in hopes that we will get it right the next time around; anything to avoid admitting that we are incapable.
“The guarantee of your success is not in your determination to work it….”
- Apostle Charles Hackman [paraphrased]
We suffer unnecessarily trying to do things our way and it seldom occurs to us that there is one in whom all things do consist. We forget that there is one who knew us before we came to earth and sees the end from the beginning.
“Forget not what you must remember”
- Apostle Charles Hackman
Ladies and gentlemen, we can spare ourselves a world of pain and heartbreak if we put aside our will and the opinions we hold dear, and instead, allow the Spirit of God to lead us into our destiny.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the Sons of God.
- [Romans 8:14]
To fulfill the destiny God wants for us, it is imperative that we trust him enough to let Him show us the way instead of us creating a way for ourselves.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is the way of death.
- [Proverbs 16:25]
For then and only then will the treasures and the riches of Father’s inheritance be opened up to us infinitely.
AMEN.
